Krystel from the Westland District Library |
We were lucky enough to have Rauhine and Krystel from the Westland District Library come to class today and share a story with us. Krystel read us Kowhai and the Giants. This is a New Zealand Book Award book. We then did a craft activity and had to make a tree and leaves.
Ruma Tui really enjoyed making their tree. We had many different shaped trees just like you would see in a forest.
We also learnt about when we are out walking in the bush we could collect some seeds and plant them to grow more trees for us to enjoy.

Don't forget to look for seeds when out walking.
