Melted Wax Crayon Art

This term we decided to find a new use for our old crayons that no one wanted to use.  We thought instead of throwing them out we might be able to melt them and paint with them.  We used an old electric frypan and muffin tray to melt the wax crayons.  We are really proud of our art and it is one of our favourite things we have done this term.

This is us working hard to get them finished.

Next term we will be posting on our blogs our finished work.  Make sure you come back and check them out.

Term 2 Reflections

We have been looking back over the last two terms and reflecting on our learning. We have been thinking about what we have achieved and things that we might need to work on during the next term. This slide has all our blog posts with our reflections.

Get NZ Writing

This was our first attempt at doing Get NZ Writing.  We had a lot of fun and came up with lots of words that are written all over the windows in our class.  Some of us used sticky notes and other used notely.  Here are some photos of what we did. Thanks School Kit for the awesome resource.

We took the parcel down to the office and now we are waiting to get one in the mail!!

Art Video

If you didn't see our art at assembly here is a quick look. It should be on our blogs and if you scroll down to an earlier post they are linked from the slide. If it takes a while to load up click the arrows in the corner and pop it into another window.

Rippa

Was a little bit damp when Ruma Tui went out for Rippa Rugby but that didn’t dampen their spirits.  We learnt how to pass and where to pass so it makes it easier to catch.  We are all looking forward to next week.
